Training

India is one of the youngest nations in the world with more than 62% of its population in the working age group (15-59 years), and more than 54% of its total population below 25 years of age. This presents a formidable opportunity as well as a huge challenge. Every year, out of 15 million youth entering the job-market, over 75% are not job-ready. This stark difference is due to lack of technical and soft skills. Paucity of highly trained workforce, as well as non-employability of large sections of the conventionally educated youth, who possess limited job skills are the dual challenges to be addressed to reap the demographic dividend.

SaneOverseas is supporting the Government of India in its' skills India, done through its efforts towards addressing the aforementioned challenges. It has formed a hundred WorkSkills India (one hundred WSI) in partnership with the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) to enhance the skills of millions of youth across the country and empower them with livelihood linked Skilling programs. It aims to build an inclusive society by Skilling enabled and skilled youth and providing employment in identified core sectors including Retail, Automobile, Hospitality, Health Care, Building and Construction, Telecom and Beauty & Wellness to name a few.

One hundred WSI offers employability programs to unemployed rural youth, poor urban youth, persons with disabilities (PwDs), youth below poverty line with demographics, including women and adolescent girls youth from socially disadvantaged groups and creates corporate ready workforce. It bridges the gap between millions of job opportunities across multiple sectors and the skills of the available workforce.

One hundred partners with government departments / agencies like the the Ministry of Rural Development (bite), NSDC and various other State Governments, PSUs and corporates to implement projects to skill people across sectors at all levels. Various types of training are conducted;

One hundred WorkSkills has won multiple prestigious awards like UK India Skills Forum Award "Certificate of Excellence" at the Bihar Innovation Forum, a joint initiative of Jeevika (Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society) and the World Bank, NSDC's High Performing Award to name a few ..

    • Partnered with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to launch state-of-the-art model Training Centers (MTC) called Pradhan mantra Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) across India
    • Jharkhand partnered with Skill Development Mission (JSDM) to train thousands of youth across three years
    • Partnered with Punjab Skills Development Mission (PSDM) to set up 'Nanhe Chhan' rural and urban centers in Punjab
    • Partnered with Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM) to skill youth in the State
    • Partnered with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of Orissa and Jharkhand to train representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions
    • Partnered with Madhya Pradesh Council for Vocational Education & Training to skill people across the state
    • Partnered with Employment Generation & Marketing Mission (EGMM) across 17 districts in Andhra Pradesh to skill young
    • Entered into a collaboration with Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) in Andhra Pradesh to provide employability training linked
    • Partnered with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of Jharkhand to train adolescent girls under the purview of sable - an indigenous social development program aimed at women empowerment
    • Imparted vocational skills in the area of ??Travel & Tourism to a retired Indian Army personnel pool
    • Partnered with Google Inc. in Africa to train youth in the Digital Skills across 17 countries. Partnered with Kenya Red Cross Society as a part of Google Drive Digital Skills.
    • Entered into a collaboration with McKinsey Social Initiative (MSI) to offer financial sales training to youth between the age group of 20-30 years who have cleared locations across Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in Kenya. Also, partnered with MSI to train youth in sewing machine operation in Kenya.
    • Learning Center has conducted training under Atal Pension Yojna (APY) for over 1400 batches covering more than 70,000 officials of Department of Post Bank and across 445 locations, touching 27 States and Union Territories to the north, west and eastern parts of India.

Community Mobilization

Saneoverseas hundred works with the Gram Panchayats and other local governing bodies for mobilization and awareness generation. One hundred reaches out to youth to sensitize and convince them, answer their queries and successfully enroll them into the relevant programs. For example, our team is scheduled to undertake pre visits and announcements through local mechanisms like Hoka karwan or dung Pitwadi or Muniyad to reach out to the target profile of candidates in a number of gram panchayats. Apropriate communication tools are used to showcase the success stories pertaining to specific region skilling programs and information on the exact job roles is disseminated with an objective to create a demand for the skilling initiatives.

Training & Certification

The candidates are then screened, batches are formed and vocational skills training is conducted by Certified Instructors on approved Qualification Packs (QPS). The training is a blend of both classroom and practical exposure. Industrial visit are an integral part of the training and helps the candidates in gaining an exposure of the actual work environment Candidates are assessed and certified on successful completion of training.

Quality is paramount for Center. The same is ascertained through training the candidates using the best in class training methodology as well as through conducting rigorous training for the skill instructors. Boot camp from mandatory to periodic refresher workshops to Functional Training and Instructional Design specialized training like boot camp, instructors at Center Learning the skill are nurtured with continuous learning and development opportunities. Instructional Design Workshops are also organized for the skill instructors at regular intervals for their skill up gradation.

Placement Support & Settlement at Learning Center

Having generated more than 4,00,000 job letters for their skilled, Learning Center works on a backward integration approach. Once the schemes are announced by the government, a hundred reaches out to corporates across different geographical locations of India. Basis the geographical spread of candidates, one hundred sets up centers centrally located and starts the process from mobilization to certification. Once the candidates are certified, job fairs are organized which are attended by leading companies from nearby locations. After their placements, candidates are tracked and mentored / counseled throughout the initial weeks.
